About Us
Northern Rivers Mobile Physio and Speech is a husband-and-wife allied health practice founded by Belinda and Rob Beaumont, who recently relocated to the Northern Rivers from the Newcastle region.
We provide mobile physiotherapy and speech pathology services throughout the Northern Rivers, bringing personalised therapy directly to clients in their homes, Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and communities. We primarily work with adults, while also welcoming children where our expertise and services are a good fit.
Rob
Physiotherapist
Rob graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, following a successful career in IT and project management.
His transition into physiotherapy was driven by a desire to work directly with people and make a meaningful difference to their health, independence and quality of life. Rob has experience in musculoskeletal and neurological physiotherapy across both private practice and hospital settings, and has a particular interest in neurological physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
He takes a practical, individualised approach to therapy, working with clients to build confidence, improve function and achieve meaningful goals in their everyday lives.
Belinda gained her Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Newcastle and has extensive experience working with adults across the areas of communication and swallowing and with children, developing speech, receptive and expressive language and social skills.
Having owned and operated a private practice for many years, Belinda values the personal connection that comes with maintaining a smaller practice, where every client is known, valued and treated as an individual.
She has a particular passion for working with people living with aphasia or neurodegenerative conditions, supported by extensive clinical experience in these areas, including speech, language and voice intervention and in providing Mealtime Management Plans (MTMP) for clients with additional swallowing needs . Belinda takes a person-centred and collaborative approach, partnering with clients, families, other allied health professionals and support networks to provide practical, individualised intervention and strategies that enhance communication, participation and improve quality of life.
